Associate Professor in International Relations at University of Bath
Dr André Barrinha is an associate professor in International Relations at the University of Bath. Between 2019 and 2022, he was a Leverhulme Trust research fellow. Dr Barrinha is one the authors of International Relations Now and Then (Routledge, 2nd ed.). His work has been published in International Affairs, Mediterranean Politics, Journal of Common Market Studies, and European Security, Net Politics (Council on Foreign Relations), and Directions (EU Cyber Direct). In 2019, Dr Barrinha was awarded the Best Article in Global Affairs Award for a co-authored piece with Thomas Renard on cyber diplomacy. He regularly presents in academic and policy conferences, such as the Hague Program’s Conference on International Cyber Security. In the last few years, Dr Barrinha contributed to Track 1.5 Cyber-Dialogues with Brazil, Australia, and China.
