Ekaterina Kotrikadze is a news director and anchor of TV Rain (Dozhd TV), the only independent television channel in Russia, which was forced to shut down at the beginning of March 2022. Ms Kotrikadze hosts a weekly analytical show, dedicated to global affairs and international politics. She has interviewed heads of states and ministers, top diplomats, and opposition leaders, and has had her columns published in English and Russian. Before 2019, Ekaterina was a deputy editor-in-chief of RTVI, an independent broadcasting network based in New York. In 2009, she was chosen to lead TV channel PIK in Tbilisi. Ms Kotrikadze graduated summa cum laude from the Moscow Lomonosov State University.
