Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia
Dr Gunda Reire is the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and Director of the Center for International Studies. Her core research interests include international peace and security, multilateral cooperation, strategic communication, and Russia studies. She also holds the position of dozent at the Riga Stradiņš University and lecturer at the Riga Graduate School of Law. Combining both academic and practical perspectives, Dr Reire has served as deputy chairperson of the Strategic Analysis Commission under the auspices of the President of Latvia, Chief of Staff of the Speaker’s Office, and Advisor to several ministers. She holds a doctoral degree in international relations from the University of Latvia. Dr Reire has held a Residing Fulbright Research Fellow position at the John Hopkins University’s SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations.
