Jonathan Miller is senior fellow and director of the Foreign Affairs, National Defence and National Security program at the Ottawa-based Macdonald Laurier Institute. He is also concurrently and senior fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs, the Asian Forum Japan, as well as the director and co-founder of the Council on International Policy. He also holds an appointment as Canada’s ASEAN Regional Forum Expert and Eminent Person (EEP). Mr Miller previously spent nearly a decade in the public sector in Canada working on geopolitical and security issues. He regularly attends track 1.5 and track 2 dialogues on security and geopolitical issues and is one of Canada's representatives on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Eminent and Expert Persons Group. Mr Miller also regularly provides advice and presents to universities, corporations, multilateral organisations, and government on regional geopolitics.
