Our colleagues at the registration desk will be at your disposal from early morning to late evening during the conference and will be happy to help you with any questions or inquiries you might have.

Proceedings

The conference language is English. The main panels will be streamed. Breakout panels are conducted under the Chatham House Rule: neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed. We ask you to respect this approach during and after the conference. It is in our common interest to facilitate a trusted environment for the open and candid exchange of opinions.

Social media

During the conference, the ICDS will extensively use social media channels, we encourage our guests to do the same (Facebook @ICDS.Tallinn and Twitter @ICDS_Tallinn). Please remember, however, that break-out sessions are conducted under the Chatham House Rule.

Security

We will issue you a conference badge at the registration desk and ask that you wear this at all times. Please note that this badge is not transferable. We also ask for your patience and understanding if you are subjected to a security check upon your arrival at conference. In case of an emergency, please inform the nearest conference team member.

Side events transportation

Presidential dinner, which will take place on Thursday evening, is by separate invitation only. We will arrange bus transport from the conference venue to the respective venue.

We will also arrange bus transportation for the optional tours on Friday afternoon.

Timezone, money & banks

In May, Estonia uses Eastern European Summer, which is three hours ahead of UTC.

Estonia uses the Euro (EUR), the single European currency. ATMs can be found all around Tallinn. Almost all businesses accept bank cards (even for the smallest payments). Local people carry very little cash.
