Ann Marie Dailey

Policy Researcher at RAND

Ann Marie Dailey is a Policy Researcher at RAND and a geopolitical strategist with expertise in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and Eurasia. Prior to joining RAND, Ms Dailey served as Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs (2022-23). Her previous work focused on defence cooperation with NATO, Ukraine, and Georgia; US defence and security policy in the Arctic; and Russia-related budgeting and strategy as the Senior Advisor for Russia strategy in the Pentagon. With extensive knowledge of the geographic, political, military, and economic drivers underpinning security from two decades of study and experience in the public and private sectors, Ms Dailey has published widely on these and other topics and frequently appears in the media. Ms Dailey is also a Non-resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and an engineer officer in the US Army Reserve.
