Programme Director at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs
Dr Arkady Moshes is the Director for Russia, EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood and Eurasia Research Programme at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA). Previously, DrMoshes worked as an Associate Fellow of the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House (2008-15), a Visiting Scholar at the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University (Washington, DC), a Public Policy Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and a Guest Lecturer at the NATO Defence College and Geneva Center for Security Policy. From 1988 to 2002, DrMoshes worked at the Institute of Europe in Moscow before moving to Finland. His areas of expertise include Russian foreign policy as well as internal and foreign policy of Ukraine and Belarus. Moshes has authoreda number ofacademic publications and is a frequent media commentator.
