Deputy Director of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies
Charlotta Rodhe is Deputy Director of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS), hosted by the Swedish Institute for International Affairs. She has extensive diplomatic experience focusing on security policy and Eastern Europe, inter alia as Deputy Head of Mission at the Swedish Delegation to the OSCE and as Head of the Euro-Atlantic Security Policy Unit at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She has worked on environment, food security, anti-corruption, and human rights issues in several UN and MFA contexts, as well as at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and at the Swedish Embassy in Jakarta. She has a master’s degree in political science from Uppsala University and has studied at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at St Petersburg State University (1998-2002) and at Stockholm Resilience Centre. At SCEEUS, she is spearheading efforts to strengthen diplomatic and civil society outreach regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine in a global context.
