Christian Schmidt

Christian Schmidt is a Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag. His previous positions include Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture from 2014-18 and Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Defence from 2005-13. He is President of the German Atlantic Association and Vice Chair of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation. He has been a lawyer since 1985.
