Ekaterina Schulmann

Associate Professor of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Russia

Ekaterina Schulmann is a political scientist and the author of the books Legislation as a Political Process, Practical Politology: Manual on Contact with Reality (a collection of articles), The New Autocracy: Information, Politics, and Policy in Putin’s Russia (chapter Parliament and Law-making, co-authored with Ben Noble). She is a regular contributor to Vedomosti, The New Times, Republica, Colta.ru, Carnegie.ru and others. Previously, she worked as a deputy’s assistant, political faction analyst, and expert in analytical department of the Russian State Duma.
