Dr Irina Michalowitz is Senior Director of Policy and Government Relations at Palo Alto Networks. As a leading public policy and cybersecurity expert with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology, governance, and policy, she focuses on cloud security, AI regulation, and cybersecurity legislation. Previously, Dr Michalowitz led the EMEA Public Policy team at Twilio, where she successfully shaped critical EU technology and cybersecurity legislation. Her career includes founding her own public affairs advisory consultancy and leading European affairs for Austrian Federal Railways, where she served as political Chief of Staff to the Chairman of European Railways Association. With a doctorate from Université de Strasbourg and an MBA degree from Vienna University of Economics and Business, she is currently pursuing an Advanced Master's in Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Management at the University of Maastricht.
