Professor at Korea University and Director of Ilmin International Relations Institute
Dr Jae-Seung Lee is the Director of Ilmin International Relations Institute (IIRI) and Jean Monnet Chair Professor at Korea University. He served as Dean of the Graduate School of International Studies and directed the Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at the same institution. He also holds a fellowship at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University. As an expert in international political economy, his publications address regional cooperation across Europe and Asia, energy security, and Korea's foreign policy. His recent research explores the evolving geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific and the dynamics of Korea-EU relations. Dr Lee contributes to government policy as a member of the Advisory Board in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Unification of Korea. He holds an MA and PhD in Political Science from Yale University.
