Director of the Ilmin International Relations Institute at Korea University
Prof Jae-Seung Lee is Director ofIlminInternational Relations Institute (IIRI) and Jean Monnet Chair Professor at Korea University. He served as Dean of the Graduate School of International Studies and has directed the Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at the same institution. He also holds a fellowship at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University. As an expert in international relations, his publications address regional cooperation across Europe and Asia, energy security, and Korea's foreign policy. His recent research explores the evolving geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific and the dynamics of Korea-EU relations. Prof Lee contributes to government policy as a member of the Advisory Board in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Unification of Korea. Prof Lee has contributed regular op-ed articles to major Korean newspapers and has commented on international affairs for BBC,CNN,and Korean broadcast stations. Prof Lee holds an MA and PhD in political science from Yale University.
