Oleksandr Korniienko

First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Mr Oleksandr Korniienko has been the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine since 2021. With his active position on public administration and decentralisation, his portfolio includes judicial, land, anti-corruption, economic, and electoral reforms. In his leadership role in the parliament, Mr Korniienko is involved in European integration reforms for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. Previously, he served as the deputy chairman of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the Formation and Implementation of the State Policy on the Restoration of Territorial Integrity and Ensuring the Sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the head of the Servant of the People political party. Mr Korniienko is a сo-chair of the NATO-Ukraine Interparliamentary Council. He has led the delegations of the Verkhovna Rada to the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. He supports the development of youth policy in Ukraine and has more than 10 years of experience in business coaching and development consulting.
