Roman Vassilenko

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Roman Vassilenko has been Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since January 2022. He has joined Kazakhstan’s diplomatic service in 1996 and served in London and Washington, DC. He worked as Assistant to the Head of Prime Minister’s Office of Kazakhstan; Chief Inspector of the Secretariat of the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan; Consultant of the President’s Chancery, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan; Chairman of the Committee for International Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan; Ambassador-at-large and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. In 2019-22, Mr Vassilenko was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic.
