Ambassador Salome Samadashvili is a member of the Parliament of Georgia and political secretary of the Lelo for Georgia party. This is her second term in the Parliament of Georgia, where she served from 2016 to 2020 as the Deputy Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations. From 2005 to 2013, Ambassador Samadashvili was the Chief of Georgia’s Mission to the European Union. In 2014, she was a visiting fellow at the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies in Brussels and served as an interim resident governance director of the National Democratic Institute for Libya in 2015. She is the author of numerous publications, including policy papers on European global strategy, such as Good or Bad Neighbours: the Main European Security Challenge from 2017.
