Sarah Kendzior is a journalist and researcher based in St. Louis, Missouri. She is currently a columnist for the Globe and Mail and the Dutch news outlet De Correspondent, and was previously a columnist for Al Jazeera English. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Foreign Policy, Quartz, Politico, World Politics Review, and dozens of other outlets. She is the author of the 2015 best-selling essay collection “The View From Flyover Country”. Kendzior has a PhD in anthropology from Washington University in St Louis, where she
studied the politics of digital media in former Soviet authoritarian states.
