Sebastian Hartmann
Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence of Germany
Sebastian Hartmann has served as the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence of Germany since 2025. He has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 2013 and has held several roles in the Social Democratic Party (SPD): Member of the Parliamentary Control Panel and the Committee for Electoral Reform (Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group, 2022–25), Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group on Internal Affairs (2021–25), Member of the Committee on Internal Affairs (2016–25), and Member of the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure (2013–18). Since 2019, he has been a Member of the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly, and in 2024, he started his career as a Reserve Officer Candidate in the Bundeswehr.
