Dr Vlasta Zekulic is Director of Strategic Management and Communications at NATO Allied Command Transformation. She is a senior Croatian and NATO official with extensive experience in military command, strategic planning, and policy development, having served in the Croatian Armed Forces and the Military Police, as well as in multiple NATO roles. She has held key leadership positions, including at Allied Command Transformation and the International Military Staff, focusing on strategic assessments, hybrid threats, crisis management, and Alliance transformation. Since June 2025, she has been leading the establishment of a Strategic Management and Communication Directorate, overseeing internal coordination and strategic messaging. Alongside her professional career, she holds advanced academic degrees in international relations and security, has published widely, and has received numerous national and NATO honours, including a NATO Meritorious Service Medal in 2024.
