Yuri Felshtinsky

Author, Historian and Journalist

Dr Yuri Felshtinsky, a prominent author, historian, and journalist, is an expert on Russia and the former Soviet Union.  He has been featured in hundreds of TV and radio interviews worldwide. Dr Felshtinsky co-authored the bookBlowing Up Russiawith Alexander Litvinenko, a former Lieutenant Colonel in the FSB who was poisoned in London in 2006. Dr Felshtinsky's publications includeThe Corporation: Russia and the KGB in the Age of President Putin, The KGB Plays Chess; Lenin and His Comrades, Lenin, Trotsky, Germany and the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, November 1917-November 1918, Blowing Up Ukraine: The Return of Russian Terror and the Threat of World War III, From the Red Terror to theTerroristState: Russian Special in the Struggle for World Domination, and The Greatest Da Vinci Deal: Trump’s Election Campaign and the Strange Case of a Masterpiece. Dr Felshtinsky studied history at Brandeis University and Rutgers University, where he received a PhD in history. He was also a postdoctoral fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. In 1993,Dr Felshtinskydefended a doctoral dissertation at the History Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, becoming the first foreign citizen to receive a doctoral degree in Russia.
