Žygimantas Pavilionis
Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee at the Parliament (Seimas) of the Republic of Lithuania
Ambassador Žygimantas Pavilionis is a career Lithuanian diplomat since 1993. He is currently a member of Seimas, Parliament of Lithuania, were he holds a position of Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee since 2020 and also Chairman of Lithuanian-Ukrainian Parliamentary Assembly since 2022. Having joined the diplomatic service in 1993, he served as Former EU/Political Director, Deputy Foreign Minister, Co-Secretary of Accession Conference to the EU, Lithuania’s Deputy Chief Negotiator, and Lithuania's Ambassador to the US (2010-15). He has been International Secretary of Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats and member of Lithuanian Parliament since 2016. In 2022 he co-founded United for Ukraine (U4U) global parliamentary network. Amb Pavilionis holds a PhD in political science.
