The Trump administration promised to end the war in Ukraine in 100 days. Towards Ukraine and Russia, it has attempted a policy of sticks and carrots, with a more accommodating attitude towards Moscow than towards Kyiv. At the same time, US-Russia normalisation has progressed, while US-European and US-Ukrainian relations have deteriorated. How will future US support for Ukraine look like with or without a ceasefire? How will US-Russia relations develop, and what are the implications for European and transatlantic security?
