Baiba Braže
Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, NATO
Ambassador Baiba Braže has been NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy since May 2020. She advises the Secretary General and oversees the coordination of strategic
communications activities across all NATO civilian and military bodies and commands. ASG Braže directs the Public Diplomacy Division, which plays a key role in conveying the Alliance’s strategic and political messages to opinion formers and to the general audience. Ambassador Braže has held numerous posts in the Latvian Foreign Ministry and served as foreign policy and national security advisor to the Prime Minister of Latvia and other posts, both at home and abroad, after joining the Foreign Ministry in August 1993.
