Christian Danielsson
State Secretary for EU Affairs at the Government of Sweden
Christian Danielsson has been State Secretary for EU Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office since 2022. A career diplomat, Mr Danielsson has held various positions at the EU institutions since Sweden's accession in 1995. After serving in two Commissioner Cabinets and as Ambassador of Sweden to the EU 2008–10, Mr Danielsson became Deputy Director General of the European Commission, Director General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, and was eventually appointed Head of the European Commission Representation in Sweden in 2020. Mr Danielsson holds an MSc in business and economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
