Edgars Rinkēvičs
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia
Edgars Rinkēvičs has been the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia since October 2011. Prior to this appointment, he served as head of the chancery of the President of Latvia from 2008 until 2011. He also served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia from 1997 till October 2008. Additionally, he worked as chief of the off ce for organising the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, which took place in Riga in 2006.
