Nikola Dimitrov has served in the Macedonian Diplomatic Service for 18 years, during which time
he has been Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (2009-14) and the United States of
America (2001-06), as well as a Deputy Foreign Minister (2000). In 2014, he was appointed as a
Distinguished Fellow at the Hague Institute for Global Justice. Dimitrov is an expert on Balkan
issues, foreign and security policy, international dispute settlement and confl ict resolution, and EU
and NATO integration.
