Steve Clemons

Editor-at-Large, The Hill

Steve Clemons is an editor-at-large of The Hill. Before joining The Hill, Clemons served as a Washington editor-at-large of The Atlantic and in senior editorial roles at the National Journal and Quartz. He is also the proprietor of the popular political blog The Washington Note. Clemons founded and served as a senior fellow of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation, where he previously served as an executive vice president. Clemons served as an executive vice president of the Economic Strategy Institute, was a senior economic and international affairs advisor to Senator Jeff Bingaman. He was also the founding executive director of the Nixon Center, now re-named the Center for the National Interest. He is also a host of the weekly news show, The Bottom Line, which airs over the global network of Al Jazeera English. Clemons serves on the international advisory board of GLOBSEC, a Central European think tank focused on global economic and security affairs.
