Distinguished Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis

Ambassador Kurt Volker is a Distinguished Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), Founder and President of Alliance Strategic Advisors, LLC, a member of the Advisory Board of BGR Group, and Co-founder of the American University Kyiv. Amb Volker is a leading expert in U.S. foreign and national security policy with over 35 years of experience in a variety of government, academic, and private sector capacities. Amb Volker served as US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations from 2017 to 2019, and as US Ambassador to NATO from 2008-09. In 2012-19, Amb Volker was the founding Executive Director of The McCain Institute for International Leadership. Amb Volker is also a Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council; a Trustee of the American College of the Mediterranean; a Trustee of the Hungary Foundation; and a member of the Advisory Boards of GLOBSEC, the US Institute for Peace, and the GW Elliott School.
