Dr Marc Lanteigne is an associate professor and researcher in politics, security and international relations at the University of Tromsø: The Arctic University of Norway. He has previously researched and taught courses in international relations and comparative politics, including on Asia and Europe, Arctic and Antarctic issues. He is also the editor of Over the Circle, and the co-editor of the Facebook Arctic news site ‘GlobalArctic‘. Dr Lanteigne is the author of several articles on Chinese and East Asian politics and foreign policy, as well as a popular book Chinese Foreign Policy: An Introduction. In 2020, he co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Arctic Security, the first compilation to specifically address the expanding areas of Arctic security studies. He is an advisory board member for the EUHybNet Research Group, an associate member in the Network of Arctic Researchers in Ireland, and a founding member for The Grey Zone, a research group on hybrid warfare and disinformation.
