Night Owl Session under the Chatham House Rule

Under Pressure: Keeping NATO Connected

May 16, 22:15-23:30
Room: Berlin

Interoperability has long been both a core challenge and a defining strength of the Alliance. The threat landscape is intensifying across every domain—from military mobility and defence planning to training and deployment. As NATO integrates new technology into its operations, seamless information sharing, data governance, and the trust that underpins them become even more critical. How can the Alliance ensure smooth processes in a fast-evolving security environment? How effectively have lessons from Ukraine been integrated into NATO’s structures? And should the approach to interoperability evolve in response to a potentially reduced US military presence in Europe?
